Empower: Literacy Program

Welcome to the group! Treehouse is thrilled to have you as a member of our Community and we hope that we can provide you with the resources you need to support your parenthood journey. 😀

In order to create a safe and inclusive environment for all Treehouse Community Members, we do have a few ground rules with respect to participating in our Support Groups:

1. Do not post spam or solicit services

This is not the place to ask for donations or advertise your personal blogs/services. Spam will be removed. Do not post links to your personal sites. Do not post links to contests or fundraisers of any sort.

2. Be respectful of each other

This is a support discussion group so please be supportive, be kind, and be respectful. It is okay for healthy discussions to take place, but please do not cross the line to arguing and conflict.

The following behaviour is not tolerated and will be removed at Treehouse’s discretion:

• Insults

• Derogatory and/or racial slurs

• Judgment

• Disrespect

• Purposely controversial posts or comments

3. Do not provide medical or ancillary advice

Do not provide medical or ancillary advice to other community members or ask for medical advice. Personal stories

or experiences can be shared, however, they should not be presented as medical or professional advice.

Ancillary refers to medical services or care services that are not provided by acute care hospitals, doctors or health care professionals.

4. Do not post personal information

Do not post anything that is personally identifying such as home addresses, contact information or personal health information. This applies to your own personal information as well as others.

Do not post links to photos or videos hosted on sites which give real names which have the potential to connect to. Do not post links to social media sites which share personal information such as real names.

Do not specifically ask for personal info.

If you wish to communicate with other community members, please use the private chat to do so. Please note that your profile name will be displayed in the discussion groups. *Provide example

Your personal email used to sign up will not be displayed.

5. This group is not monitored 24/7.

Questions or concerns will be responded to on Mondays and Fridays, throughout the day, by Melissa Gagnon. Melissa may also contact you directly through private messenger.
